Director Peter Lennox is a dedicated voluntary member of the RNLI Lifeboats crew in Tynemouth.

Located on the North Shields fish quay, the station provides a comprehensive marine search and rescue service, covering the region’s coastline and up to 100 nautical miles out to sea.

The lifeboats are manned by crews of volunteers like Peter, all of whom are committed to keeping our coastal areas safe from harm.

The RNLI is a charitable organisation which relies upon public support rather than government funding to patrol our waters. Find out more about the service and how you can help by visiting the Tynemouth Lifeboats website here.

ICE, the Institution of Civil Engineers, serves to support civil engineers and technicians in various ways.

To receive professional qualifications from the organisation, engineers must be committed to a programme of excellence, producing work of a very high standard.

ICE also provides support to said engineers and technicians, offering assistance and advice in order to help them progress with their career. They also encourage civil engineering amongst younger generations, and lobby the government to provide more investment in infrastructure.

Find out more about ICE’s aims, practices and history on their dedicated website here.
